- Retired BA captain who has been interested in computing since the Acorn BBCB. I am probably unique in running Macbuntu on my Macbook Pro, while my netbook runs Ubuntu and my desktop is dual boot XP/Ubuntu. I am awaiting delivery of the new Asus Transformer tablet. My main interest is using a computer for all forms of communication and media applications. As a yachtsman with 48,000 miles logged, I am also interested in computer mapping. My first experience of this was using Encarta 96 while re-enacting a historic voyage in a 34 foot, three masted canoe shaped vessel with no keel, from southern Brazil to the USA.
