- Independent civil/structural engineer and Linux enthusiast. About 12 years experience running my own business web server, originally a Cobalt RaQ 3 running RH6, now a Bitfolk VPS running Debian Lenny with Apache/PHP/MySQL and Postfix/Amavis/Dovecot for e-mail. Related interest in database driven website design using HTML/CSS/PHP/MySQL. Have built several machines for home/business use including a RAID 10 file server running Ubuntu and two desktop machines now running Ubuntu 11.04. Now using Linux except on my business laptop and dual boot desktop where I need Win7/XP for structural analysis/FE analysis and for CAD applications. Some experience of VirtualBox on both Linux and Windows operating systems.
