About Me

Insurance Business and Change Management. Using a number of platforms both open and closed source. First programming job - machine code on ICT 1504 to create payroll for local authority run on a school mainframe. Subsequently dabbled in Fortran, Algol and Cobol. Failed uni computing course as had not learnt BASIC and submitted coursework in Fortran which lecturer did not understand the concept of calling library functions instead of creating the function in BASIC. Fell into LINUX via UNIX and AIX. Now working in a specification role with developers to do the grunt.
