We have regular sessions on the second Saturday of each month. Bring a 'box', bring a notebook, bring anything that might run Linux, or just bring yourself and enjoy socialising/learning/teaching or simply chilling out!

Pub Meet - Friday 15 July

A few of us from IRC are meeting up at the White House Pub in Guildford on Friday evening.

We have chosen this venue as being fairly close to Guildford station.

This is a very informal gathering. By informal I do of course mean disorganised. In fact the only organisation that I am offering is a guarantee that I will be there from 7pm through to 8.30pm (probably later, if there isn't a general demand to move elsewhere).

Word processor functions but reports "No disk" when diskette is inserted.

To take the machine apart, turn it over, undo about 8 crosshead self-tapping screws underneath, turn it right way up again, remove the 2 knobs at the ends of the platen, and lift off the cover carefully (ribbon cable at right side).
