Bring-A-Box, Saturday 14th March 2020, Lion Brewery, Ash

The Lion Brewery Pub

Ten of us in the very suitable function room of the Lion Brew, a venue that we've often used. Mike was showing us some of the delights of programming an Arduino with none of the GUI tools that are regrettably lacking accessibility. But Mike has conquered this with the command line and even using simple interrupt handling in C.

Bill was showing what can be done with an ancient PC by using Puppy, and other extremely lightweight distros. Fewer of us than at recent meetings, the Corona panic is having its effect.

We have regular sessions on the second Saturday of each month. Bring a 'box', bring a notebook, bring anything that might run Linux, or just bring yourself and enjoy socialising/learning/teaching or simply chilling out!

This month's meeting is at the Lion Brewery Pub in Ash, Surrey.

New members are very welcome. We're not a cliquey bunch, so you won't feel out of place! Usually between 15 and 30 people come along.

The meeting is in the pub's function room which is accessible either through the bar or directly from the car park. Wifi will be available.
