The Surrey Linux User Group (SLUG) is a welcoming community focused on Linux and other open-source operating systems. Our primary interest is in all things Linux—whether you are running it on your desktop or server, or keen to learn how open-source software can be used every day

What We Do

Linux-Centric Events: Most of our discussions and events revolve around installing, using, and troubleshooting Linux, and exploring the broad world of open-source software
Knowledge Sharing: Members regularly help each other with technical questions, discuss the latest Linux distributions, tips, and software tools
Diverse Open-Source Topics: While Linux is at the heart of what we do, we occasionally touch on related platforms like *BSD, Solaris, and other open technologies, as well as occasional sessions on hardware projects or niche open-source tech
