BringABox 12 August 2005

The plan was a casual social meeting in the garden for the few folk not on holiday. Or, in SteveW's case (visiting from Spain), those actually ON holiday! Rain set in, so the four of us (JohnW, SteveW, CasperGasper and Clive) moved into the house.

The main focus was around PCMCIA 3COM, Netgear and AirWay WiFi cards, trying to configure them under CentOS, Knoppix and Ubuntu.

Sadly the final diagnosis seemed to be that one of the cards was as dead as a Norwegian Blue (perhaps because the Toshiba Tecra 8000 BIOS sends 5V to 3.3V PCMCIA cards if they're present during power up).
